Highlights: Received my wings in March, 1957, (date of commission back dated to October, 1956) at Hutchinson, Kansas after multi-engine training. Ordered to Brunswick, ME, and joined VP-26. Deployed throughout the North Atlantic and Med. In 1960, ordered to VP-30, Jacksonville, FL, as flight instructor. Then in 1963 to USS Essex as CATCC Officer. In 1965 sent to PGS Monterey, CA. Earned BS in Engineering Science. In 1967, back to the fleet in VP-8 at Patuxent River, MD. In 1970, ordered to staff at ASWFORPAC,(COMTHIRDFLT) Honolulu, HI. In 1974, ordered to final tour at NADC Warminster in Warminster, PA. Retired in 1979, stayed in Bucks County, PA and found a great job. Now retired from County of Bucks position as Director of ConsumerProtection/Weights and Measures. Now working in Real Estate with my wife and daughter, 'The Yelle Team' |
