Highlights: Joined the Marine Corps as an AOC. After completion of AOC I was the second group of Marines to attend the US Army pre-flight training program at Fort Worth, Texas and then on the the primary course at Fort Hunter/Strewart, Georgia where I received Army Aviator Wings. I then was assigned to my first Marine Squadron HMT-301 MCAS (H) Tustin, CA received Naval Wings May 1969. Vietnam 69/70. I received DFC mission 17 May 1970. |
