Highlights:
I'm just a great advocate for Naval Aviation. I'm not a distinguished officer, but I did serve both as a Marine Corps CO and parachutist in Vietnam. My combat squadron was VMF(AW)232 flying the F8U-2NE, stationed at Danang from 1966-1967. Many sorties North and more than a few casualties. Ours is a great tradition, that of Naval Aviator. We come from a long line of men who saw nothing wrong or unusual in being shot off the bow of an aircraft carrier and arresting at the end of a mission, in the light or in darkness. Future generations will forget our individual names but cannot erase the fervor with which we came forward to climb into the clouds.
