The Naval-Aviator Network is dedicated to the thousands of men and women who passed through the Naval Air Training Command over the past 70-plus years. This website is a labor of love by a few retired folks who want to reclaim the old comradarie we experienced wearing our "Wings of Gold."
This website was started as "The Navcads Network" in January 2007 by a handful of classmates from Navcad Pre-Flight Class 28-54. For more than 50 years, we had never made a serious effort to contact each other. Then we discovered that some classmates we thought would be with us forever were gone. That made it important, somehow, for us to preserve the memory of those dead classmates, and to restore the history of our class for families, friends and posterity. Because we knew there were other aviators like us with similar concerns, we decided to expand the initial website to include all Naval and Marine Aviators.
Once registered for a free membership, there's no cost or any kind for eligible persons to participate in every aspect of this site.
Eligibility — All Naval and Marine Aviators, students in training, and immediate surviving family members are eligible to participate actively in this website. There are no other requirements.
Purpose — The purpose of this website is three-fold:
Registered members may submit biographies, photos, publications, and classifieds. We will also act as a communication conduit among all members.
Volunteers — All persons maintaining this site are volunteers. Periodically, we need a few volunteers to work with their home computers to assume some of the website tasks. It's helpful if you're experienced in communicating with computers and in editing text for publication. We can provide some programs and training. If you want to volunteer, please email the webmaster (webmaster@naval-aviator.net).
Contact Us — Please register, then join the fun. If you're not a member, we'd appreciate your taking a few moments to sign our guestbook. And please add any constructive comments you have for improving our website.
To participate actively in this website, you must register. This policy helps safeguard privacy on an otherwise public website. Your answers on this form are intended to help your military friends find you. There is no other purpose. All data received from participants is immediately removed from our servers and placed in an off-line database where it cannot be accessed from the net. If another participant asks to contact you, we pass his email address only to you for you to make the contact decision. Please help us protect your security by completing this form.

Pages are formatted for Windows Internet Explorer. They may not look the same on other browsers. You can quickly jump to the main site divisions by clicking on the sliding menu at the right of each page, and you may search for specific words on any page with the "Find" box on the sliding menu:
About Us — will always bring you to this Welcome page.
Network — contains biographical information provided by our registered members. There are four ways to search the database:
Publications — is for members to publish personnally written articles, books, poetry, stories, or other information that may be of interest to naval and marine aviators. It may also include reunions, promotions, events, Pentagon news, magazine articles, non-controversial opinion pieces, etc. submitted by members. You may seek old buddies, ask for photos of something remembered, request first-hand information about an event, or seek for unclassified technical information. Etc. It's for advising other members of things you think they might like to know.
Please be aware that we have no way of checking the authenticity of a member or submitted information. We ask only three questions that most naval aviators should know. Usually that's enough to screen imposters. Otherwise we can only hope that someone will blow the whistle if a prankster makes a bogus submission.
Also, no matter how much money is spent or expertise utilized to make a site secure, there's always somebody ... So, we will not publish on the net any personal home address, telephone number, email, or other contact information. If someone wants to make contact with a listed individual, just send us an email addressed to that individual, and we'll forward it. If addressees want to respond, they'll do so directly.
Finally, we try our best to avoid mistakes. Please be understanding if you find something that displeases you. Let us know where we went wrong, and we'll do our best to fix it. Remember, we're only volunteers, so be kind.
Submissions — Offers instructions on how to get your biographical information, publications, and photos ready for the internet.
Feedback — includes short pieces about this site. This is a hodge-podge of email, letters, comments, and ideas from visitors and participants, plus statistics from our website server that tell how we are doing.
We hope you'll find this website interesting and enjoyable. More importantly, we hope you'll participate and use it to keep in touch with friends anywhere.
